A trip to the zoo!

Alexi and I went along with her mom and the two kids she babysits to the Cincinnati Zoo once spring started to show up. Every time I go to the zoo I get some pretty good shots. I just wish I could spend hours there by myself so I could concentrate on getting the shot that I want instead of settling for one quickly and then moving on. I guess not everyone is a photo nerd like myself. Anyhoo, enough talk. Let me get to the pictures.

Believe it or not I still take car pictures!

If you know me, and I'm sure you do, my photography hobby started out through taking pictures of new parts that I put on one of my cars. Well, even though I have a completely stock car I still go out and take pictures quite frequently. So I figured I should bring you up to speed on some of my latest photos of the Mini.

Today I went out for a photo competition that www.northamericanmotoring.com puts on each month. This month's theme is "Pets" so I took Sherman along for an idea that I had. I'm not quite sure that this shot will be the one that I want to use, but for now this will do.

Since I've been wanting to shoot at this particular location for years, I took the opportunity to grab some other shots while I was there. The first one is pretty much the same one minus Sherman.

And the rest.

Since I'm on a roll, I'll include some other shots that I've taken in the past month.

Winter Storm '09

Well, we had our first good snow storm of the season this past week. It consisted of some snow, some ice, topped off with some more snow. The total accumulation totaled about 8".

Since Alexi had 4 snow days we were able to squeeze in a walk around a local park. Sherman was lucky enough to join us in our adventure. Really, there isn't much else that I can say about it so why don't you take a gander at the pictures.

Alexi, ready for a walk.

Here are some shots of the ice.

Alexi in awe at the beauty of the ice.

Aren't they cute? I'm excited to start a family with them!

What kind of winter walk would it be if there weren't portraits of Sherman?

Hey Alexi, you have snow on your face.

This post brought to you by Subaru and my Mom. Thanks for letting me use your car!
