When will winter end?

About this time of year I really dislike living in Ohio. We've had a few days teasing us of spring and I can't tell you how much I am ready for it. Trying to make the best of our recent winter weather, I decided to go out and snap some pictures of my G20. Mind the dirty car, I couldn't justify spending $8 for 5 seconds of cleanliness. Once again, I can't wait for spring.

For the first photo, I was using my wide angle lense and both flashes with Stofen's Omnibounce diffusers. One flash was located just off the driverside mirror about 5 ft. from the car, angled towards the rear of the car. The second flash was about 6-7 ft. directly in front. I had my flash ratio set to 8:1, favoring the one shooting down the side of the car. For the 2nd shot, I had the used my telephoto, so that required moving the front flash back. To help put more light farther on the car from farther away, I strapped on a Lumiquest Pocketbounce to the flash. The side flash was about the same as before. The ratio returned to 1:1. Exif data should be intact, if it isn't please let me know. If you don't know what I'm talking about, Exif data is basically information embedded into the picture that displays certain camera settings such as Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, Flash fired, etc.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the photo's!

My first posting

Ok guy's and girls, I think I may have decided on a final resting place for my blog. I briefly attempted to do one using my software but unfortunately found out that I can't have any comments on my posts, so where's the fun in that?

So, here we go. I'll start out with the same entry I had as my website. Recently, I got the opportunity to meet with a friend whom I haven't seen in quite some time. Since I'm a nerd I bring my photography gear almost everywhere I go, and offered to snap some pictures of his new car for him. Here are a couple of shots that came out. The editing was done quickly, just to get them available to present, so bare with me.
